Aluminum USB External Stereo Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac Getting Started Introduction This guide will describe the layout and use of the Aluminum USB External Stereo Sound Adapter. This card is compatible with Windows computers running Windows XP or later as well as MacOS 10 and Linux. Device Description The USB sound card is a tiny device about the size of a flash drive. For the following description, place the device so that the USB port is facing you and the narrower side of the USB port is facing up. On the back, you will find two small jacks. The one on the right side is for an external microphone while the one on the left is a speaker out jack. There is no built-in speaker or microphone on the card. Installation This may be the shortest installation chapter you will ever read. Simply plug the device into your computer. The appropriate software will be loaded and your card should be ready for use. You can verify this by going into your Windows Control Panel or another program where you can select an audio device and looking for a new entry, usually called USB Audio Device. For Windows 10, press the Windows key to open the Start window and then type in Sound and press Enter. The new sound device should be listed.
