The Aftershokz Trekz Titanium is a powerful bluetooth headset that offers many features. The sound quality is pretty good for something you sit on your cheek bones. There are voice prompts for powering on / off, checking the battery, pairing, battery low notification, and changing EQ settings. They come with a nice set of ear plugs should you need to tune out of whatever's around you. Where these really shine though, is not tuning out what's around you, but for use in environments where you do need to hear what's around you, and need to hear your phone. Walking outside with them on to get voiced GPS directions, but since they don't cover your ears, you'll still be able to hear traffic, and anything else around you.
They have a good ability to hold a charge, because I don't use them every day, they will still work, and not drain all the charge just sitting there. I've gone 2 weeks without touching them, and still they powered up and had charge left. You do get a voice notification that says, "charge me", when the battery is low. You'll get this twice, after the second one, it is very serious, and you get about 2 minutes before it shuts off. If you want to check the battery, you'll have to stop playback, and then press one of the volume buttons, and you'll hear either high, medium, low, or charge me.
There really aren't any down sides to this product. The only thing I can think of, and this just personal preference, is that you do need to be aware that other people can hear what you hear. These aren't ear buds, they sit on your cheek bones, in front of your ears, and do radiate sound out. So, if you're sitting on the bus, the person next to you is probably going to hear what you hear unless you turn them down. I don't think this is a deal breaker, I just think its something to be aware of.
